Welcome!
Welcome to OMIŠALJ and NJIVICE, the
first two places you will see upon crossing the Krk Bridge. Exceptional natural
resources of the island were adored by the Romans, who name this place Insula aurea (the Golden Island). The
peculiar story of the island of Krk starts at OMIŠALJ, the town-monument, rich with cultural and historical
sites. With the town of Krk, Omišalj is the oldest living town on the island
with over 100 years of tourism tradition. Only six kilometres away are NJIVICE. Once a small fishing village,
Njivice are now a well-known tourist destination, a place with true soul and
warm and vivid Mediterranean population. In order to get the true idea you should
come and we will be delighted welcome you and tell the whole story. We look
forward to meeting you!

The beaches are pebbly, rocky and sandy, and long and varied Omišalj
coastline to each visitor guarantee a good summer fun. So, many hidden coves,
ideal for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, will attract lovers of solitude. Those
who want an active vacation will select hotel beaches with lots of organised
fun activities with nearby cafes and restaurants. For a family holiday, however,
we recommend Pesja – Omišalj’s most
famous beach with the Blue flag waving there since 2004. It is situated at the
end of the gentle cove, in the shade of pine trees and overlooking the Omišalj Bay.
